Together with Joshua Wright, Kath was Co-Producer of the inuagural Arts Learning Forum for the Australia Council for the Arts at Footscray Community Arts Centre, 25-27 November 2015. The Arts Learning Forum was a sold-out event that brought together two hundred odd arts professionals with a role or interest in arts education, learning or engagement across all art forms, ages and communities for the first time in a national context.
We can produce conferences and events, act as consultant producers, write grants and proposals and more, in either short, medium or long term arrangements. Here are examples of our services.
The National Dance Forum is a partnership of the Australia Council for the Arts and Ausdance National. It is the most significant platform for dialogue across the Australian contemporary dance sector. Kath produced the first two editions, in 2011 and 2013, and co-produced the third edition with Kristy Ayre, in 2015.
Kath can assist artists and organisations with ideas, strategy, advice, connections and submission development.
With Artistic Merit, Kath worked as a consultant producer for VicHealth’s Arts About Us program, which aimed to foster conversations about cultural diversity and the harms of race-based discrimination, over 2011-2014.
The annual Australian Dance Awards recognise and honour professional Australian dance artists who have made an outstanding contribution to dance. The Awards are presented in an evening of performance that showcases some of the best Australian dance acts of the year.
Kath was creative producer of the 2010 Awards Gala at the State Theatre in Melbourne, for Ausdance Victoria, rounding out three exciting years of the ADAs in Melbourne: as Ausdance Victoria’s Director she was executive producer of the 2008 and 2009 events
Kath curated an Australian-focused series of articles for the Autumn 2011 edition of ‘Animated’, the magazine of the Foundation for Community Dance (UK).
